Meet our founder, Mr. Sherwin Nahavandi, Esq.

Sherwin Nahavandi is our founder and managing attorney at Nahavandi Law. Mr. Nahavandi specializes in personal injury and labor and employment law. Mr. Nahavandi brings with himself years of experience in all aspects of litigation in both State and Federal Court, which allows him to better serve his clients.
Mr. Nahavandi has extensive experience representing individuals who have suffered catastrophic injuries due to the negligence of others. Mr. Nahavandi has litigated hundreds of personal injury matters from start to finish and has utilized his skill, knowledge, and experience in order to obtain settlements and verdicts that exceed seven figures for his clients. Mr. Nahavandi’s success in representing such individuals is directly attributed to his knowledge and experience in defending insurance companies at one of the most prestigious defense firms in the state of California. Mr. Nahavandi knows exactly how insurance companies operate and the numerous tactics they employ throughout pre-litigation, litigation, and trial, which allows him to utilize various tactics to outwit his adversaries.
In addition to his stellar record as a personal injury lawyer, Mr. Nahavandi also has extensive experience representing employees in labor and employment law matters. Mr. Nahavandi has litigated cases involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation along with wage and overtime, meal and rest break, and misclassification matters. Mr. Nahavandi is well-versed with the Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), California Family Rights Act (CFRA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the California Pregnancy Leave Act (PDL). Lastly, Mr. Nahavandi has represented both business owners and individuals in business disputes, business transactions, and contract negotiations and formations.

Mr. Nahavandi graduated on top of his class (cum laude) from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Thereafter, Mr. Nahavandi obtained his Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School where he was awarded the Wildman/Schumacher Scholarship. Throughout law school, Mr. Nahavandi held a variety of law clerk positions for various prestigious law firms where he gained experience in procedural and substantive law by advocating on behalf of employees who were unlawfully discriminated against, harassed, retaliated, or terminated and personal injury victims who suffered catastrophic injuries due to the fault of others.
When he is not advocating for his clients, Mr. Nahavandi enjoys exploring Los Angeles’ restaurant scenery, playing basketball, and traveling. Mr. Nahavandi is also an avid fan of the Los Angeles Lakers.
